Going on the advice from Donna Artist, I ventured north to Largo - TopicsExpress

Going on the advice from Donna Artist, I ventured north to Largo to dine at The German Bistro 2, 1300 East Bay Dr., Largo. Im a fan of German cuisine and in search of a good meatloaf(which Donna said they had here), I am glad I went. Its a small one store front place that seems to be very popular. I would highly suggest reservations should you decide to go. We were seated and from the very start treated like old friends. first came out the complimentary bread, butter blend and home made cole slaw. Delicious! I love good cole slaw and this fits the bill just fine! The butter blended with herbs & garlic was hard to stop eating on the fresh bread. Then came the meatloaf dinner. Accompanied by 2 sides which were bottomless, but I hardly think youll need more. I chose the German potato salad(warm) and the home made spaetzle. I could have made a meal just out of those. The potato salad was great, just enough vinegar with bacon and onion cooked with the potatoes, superb! As was the spaetzle. But the Hackbraten(meatloaf) was the star of the show. Es war köstlich (it was delicious!)! Very well prepared and easily some of the best Ive had outside of my own. Excellent food, great service, I cant wait to go back. Thanks, Donna for the recommendation!
