Going on two weeks without shampoo (I just use water when I shower, with basic soap for the body). See no reason to ever mess with the stuff again. I now believe that shampoos and sodium laureth sulfate containing detergents are far far worse water pollutants than mere toilet wastes. Excrement can be easily broken down and turned into life giving soil and clean energy. Weve been lied to for a long time. It is not the blackwater that is a problem in development, it is the greywater. Blackwater (fecal water) merely needs a simple biodigester or composting toilet (no need for water at all). But greywater without a large and active enough living machine (plant based intensive surface area rich ecosystem) turns our water resources into fetid pools of festering stink and concentrated salts that then make the rapid decomposition of feces into harmless nutrients hard for the ecosystem to do. So goodbye shampoo. You are part of an industry of destruction I will never participate in again. Good riddance.
