Going to East Valley Animal Shelter today to put blankets in the dogs kennels and bright bandanas on the dogs. I want thank everyone who has donated so far towards the Blankets and More for Los Angeles Animal Shelters 2013-2014 ... Every dollar has helped and every gently used blanket will make a difference. However, Im saddened to report that compared to the last five or so years that INsight Animal Rescue has done the Blankets and More for L.A. Animal Shelters collection drive, this year is beyond disappointing. Not sure why. Maybe i didnt share enough or maybe people just didnt have those extra few bucks to donate or time to clean out their linen closets this year. Whatever the reason may be I do feel like I personally have let the animals down. I havent even been able to collect enough for more then one shelter. Past years I was able to bring warm blankets to both city and county animal shelters. Well... shucks.. If you do want to help its not too late and the temperatures are still dropping.
