Going to make a proper post about my car so its easier for people. Anyway. I am planning to sell my loverly car, it is one of a kind(of) and you probably wont see one of your friends driving it and i have personally on seen one person drive something similar! This car is also individual so there wont be another car like this in the country! Its a 1993 Polo Coupe Genesis (MK2F). It has done 150,000 (Ish, need to check). Please dont let this put you off as it has had many changed to the engine over its time which make it run a lot better. It has never broke down on me, and it has never failed to start, never seen any black smoke either. It drives amazingly! It is super fun to drive and it does turn heads. Its has an uprated exhaust which sounds amazing, not chavy at all just has a nice pur to it! It has an old morris minor style roof rack which adds to the effect. Genuine old BBS alloys, colour coded bumpers. Uprated speaker system which sounds amazing, GT Steering wheel, interior is immaculate (after i give it a hover anyway) Probably some other things as well! Now, of course there are going to be some bad bits about the car. The clutch does rattle, which means the bearing has gone, i have driven about 4000 miles on it and it never has given me any problems. For some reason as well, when the break pedal is pressed, the indicators stop working? This is most likely cause from the Speaker SUB in the back which is taking a lot of power out of the car as i dont think i have earthed it properly, i will have a look if it does come to sell and make sure that is all working (Hopefully). Body work is scratched and bumped like you would expect from a car this old but it is amazing for its age. Lacquer peel on the bonnet is covered up by the bonnet bra so it looks better. On the drivers side door there is an off colour of paint as we had to spray over some parts of the door after we did a repair but because of the cars age, the paint has faded meaning there is a different colour on the doors, it isnt noticeable (and im not saying that) as you would probably not notice it and you can only really see it in certain light. it has 12 months MOT with only advisory being a nearly illegal tyre tred (Do have wheel to change this). It also comes with a spare normal front bumper which is plain black. I have probably missed out quite a bit, but if you have any questions, please ask! I have all papers from previous MOTs and Services and receipts for any parts changed). Insurance for me as a new diver is £1400 without a black box and thats with the exhaust declared. (wheels do not need to be declared as a mod as they where on the car when it came out the factory). You can also get insurance for £1000 with a box, but you would have to take the exhaust off (I think i still have the old exhaust). It does between 30-40mpg (I think) Price: As i am in no rush to sell the car, Im looking for around £1500 but i am of course open to offers. I am also open to swaps (e.g MK2/MK4 Golf etc).
