Going to rant for just a bit. Yesterday was one of the hardest ministry days ever. We had to meet with a sweet young couple who for no explained reason lost their 22 month old beautiful little boy. Sitting in the room with such grief and loss, I had no words. And all the religious crap was useless. Tell these parents how much God loves them? All I could say was Hes heartbroken too and shares your sorrow. We are doing his memorial service Saturday and its so hard to watch them preparing for this. They are alone today and listening to Calebs CD. Im praying God will comfort them through this music. Now I will say this. If your gospel is so shallow that you cant get beyond yourself to mourn with those who mourn, or you are too busy promoting doctrines its time to reevaluate. The gospel is in the trenches of peoples lives, where pain is. Its in the suffering of people that are desperate for comfort. Its in the coming along side of those who are weak and offering your strength. Its not about who likes you or who defriended you or you defriended. Its about seeing Jesus in the moment of peoples lives and being Jesus to the broken. Ending rant!
