Going today to the general surgeon who did my moms mastectomy 4 years ago. Mom is angry and has a right to be. It is frustrating when doctors dont listen and you know things were missed. Dr Keesha Bryant was a godsend to us 4 years back. She was kind and concerned and took time to explain things. We are going today to find more answers. There were MRIs and tests done over the years. Either it was Gods will that things were missed or oversight. Not much we can do today but to move forward and seek answers. I pray she is the same doctor that she was 4 years ago. She trained at Mayo and hopefully she can point us in right direction and give mom a referral to a good oncologist that will listen. The medical profession now is in such a flux of transition and uncertainty it has changed many. Praying today gives my mom courage, strength, answers and hope. I didnt see mom on Friday. When I saw her on Saturday she looked 10 years older. Hate what cancer does to such a beautiful woman. She is so tiny to begin with. Sigh. Just want her comfortable and hopeful. I need her.
