GoldIS slips, secures 48.29% of IGB shares. (The Star) KUALA LUMPUR: Shares of GoldIS Bhd slipped on Wednesday as the company and parties acting in concert (PAC) in the proposed conditional takeover of its associate IGB Corp Bhd, managed to secure about 48.29% of the IGB shares. Under the Malaysian Code on Take-Overs and Mergers 2010, a voluntary offer is subject to the offeror having received acceptances which would result in the offeror holding in aggregate more than 50% of the shares of the offeree. GoldIS had offered to acquire all the remaining ordinary shares of 50 sen each in IGB Corporation at an offer price of RM2.88 per offer share. At 11.30am, GoldIS was down two sen to RM2.39. There were 136,300 shares done at prices ranging from RM2.38 to RM2.40. IGB shed one sen to RM2.87. There were 52,400 shares traded at prices ranging from RM2.87 to RM2.88. On Tuesday, Goldis announced the aggregate shareholding of the PACs who gave their irrevocable undertakings to accept the proposed offer was about 229.31 million IGB Corp shares or 17.18% of the paid-up.
