Golden Slumbers recorded live outside of Mellow Mushroom Pizza, in the historic Downtown Franklin Square on September 13, 2014. Here is a little background of what you are watching. We (SixtyFour) and the fine folks at Mellow Mushroom, have been putting on this show for the past 3 years. On the second saturday of each month, at 7PM (April through September) we can be found, playing 2 hours of non-stop Beatles tunes live, in the square! (And munching on some of the best pizza on the planet!) ;) It started out very small…maybe 30 or 40 folks would show up, (mostly our friends and family) and then maybe wed get a few people that were passing by that would stay and listen. Next thing you know, the word spread, and people started bringing chairs. Then as more and more people started to show up, Mellow Mushroom asked the city if they could block off one of the parking areas by our makeshift stage…and then the crowds grew even bigger! Now, 3 seasons later, we have an audience of around 800 to 1000 people at each show! Its absolutely INCREDIBLE! We are honored and thrilled to be able to do this! A HUGE thank you to Mellow Mushroom, Daryl Stone, Clark Shelton, and the city of Franklin for letting us take over part of the square once a month! We are already looking forward to April 11, 2015 when we start it up again! Hope to see you In The Square on the second saturday of each month, April through September! - J.R.
