Goldie is part of the Stop the Madness group - Operation Sunday Labs. Available for adoption: UPDATE! Goldies physical wounds have healed and he is ready for his forever home. Will you have the love and patience to earn his trust and love? Goldie has been working really hard and has come a long way. He is playing with other dogs and learning to be a regular dog. He has learned sit and is mastering lay down. He also walks well on a leash. He has a very sweet personality and is still very timid when meeting new people but once you earn his trust you will get his love 100%. He would love a home with another dog to play with or even better to go with his BFF (Best Furry Friend) Trisket to the same home. Please contact LEARN if you are interested in meeting Goldie. ~~~~~~~~~ 11/17/14 Goldie came in with a 2 laceration that needed stitches. He took to his bath well . . wasnt thrilled about it. . . but did well. He was more than happy to use a volunteer as a towel during his bath and took the handling and accepted touch without issues. ~~~~~~~ 11/23/14 Today was a great day for Goldie. TCC has a trainer who comes out every other week for 2 hours, and we spent more than half of that working with Goldie and Trisket (both Stop The Madness Labs). When Goldie first came in to the training room, he was pretty unsure because it was yet another new flooring (big blue wrestling style mats cover the floor). So that took a minute to adjust to. Goldie is much more outgoing than Trisket so we just focused on him to begin with. We worked with coming out and away from the safety he feels with his handler. After a little bit he was out and watching for his treats. He doesnt have any interest in toys, but we found that he loves to chase other dogs that are playing. So that is something to work with. His wound looks really good, and his handler is going to start working on teaching him sit over the next week. Goldie is a handsome guy. Once we get him neutered and some more self confidence built, I think that he will do fine. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Goldie is now ready for adoption. If you think you might be interested in meeting/adopting Goldie please fill out an adoption application and have a home visit first. labadoption.org/info/adoption – If you have already done these things, then please email L.E.A.R.N. and let them know you would like to be put on his potential family list.
