Golf lovers, Bubbas PUTTING won him this Masters. He was flawless inside 10 feet. His driver was huge, but titles are won on the green. Jordan Spieth is terrific. BUT, as soon as Jordan lost his cool after missing the short putt on 9 & blocking it right on 10 (he slammed his club into the turf on 10) I felt Bubba had him. Bubbas emotions were in check. Never been a Bubba guy (I felt he was a fortunate 1 time major winner prior to today) but he was a huge hearted battler. He was the best player & putter. One last thought: our neighbor & my daughter Carly Rays competitor for years, Alexis Thompson, & Bubba- well you cant teach what they do. Those swings break many rules youd coach someone to do. Gifts from God, with serious distance. But, BOTH putted lights out inside 10 feet to win their majors. Wanna be a winner? Get awesome with the putter inside 10 feet! And keep your emotions inside, in check. Precisely why I teach my students short putting drills that create winning putters. And, I always have taught them to wear a happy mask, & not let negative emotions ever come out! Negative means bogeys...positive means pars n birdies! Fake it if ya have to, but positive is a must!
