Gonna try this again. Some folks said they could not see the pics because they were removed! Damn North Koreans! The 1962 World Series teams, the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees came to Modesto during the series to practice. Del Webb Field was the only well-drained field in the area when rain delayed the World Series at Candlestick Park in San Francisco. I was a freshman in high school at the time and very much a Giants fan, which is why I have no pictures of the Yankees here. I apparently did not get my pictures developed until much later as you can see from the date at the bottom of the pics. Found these today as I was browsing through old photos.
