Gonna wake up in 12 hours but for now Im winding down by learning myself how to make carnitas. Started with this recipe: allrecipes/recipe/pork-carnitas/ What Ive found out so far is that cumin is the main player in the spice department, cooking pork for 10-12 hours (rather than two) makes bone-in country style pork ribs very easy to pull the bones out of, and if you bake the pork for 15 minutes at a time at 400 degrees F (just gonna start saying 400dF) you get pretty darn close to a proper browned carnitas. I should have a brownish end product of shredded meat. I dont know how many times Ive got to cook the carnitas in 15 minute intervals. Let you know when I find out.
