Gonzalo Higuain EL PIPITA I have to put up a disclaimer saying - TopicsExpress

Gonzalo Higuain EL PIPITA I have to put up a disclaimer saying that I can’t possibly be as rational about Higuain as I am with other players. There’s a special level of affection I have for him which not many people share, and even fewer people understand. Now that we got that out of our way, Higuian’s season was not a good one. Over the 2011-12 season he lost his place to Benzema. By losing your place I’m talking about a 50-50 time split becoming something around a 65-35, and when it came to big matches, he almost had no chance of starting as Benzema was in better form, and probably was a better tactical fit too. But with 2012-13 Mourinho reset the bar to 50-50 as multiple folks had convinced him to stay. Higuain even took the opportunity very well and was starting to swing that 50-50 balance in his favour until he got injured. After that it was really a tough time for him. Sadly it was with Benzema as well, thus affecting Real Madrid. Strikers need to play, and score to get a run going, else the form never returns. When Higuain wasn’t, we tried Benzema, when he too wasn’t, we tried Higuain, thus nobody got a rhythm going. Of course Higuain is the de facto reason to blame for anything that goes wrong with Real Madrid and for understandable reasons he declared that his limits had been reached too. Higuain is a good striker, few better than him in the current game, especially when you consider the very specific skill set required of a Madrid striker where the team is completely CR based. Benz and Higuain are ideal, just that few realise it. The ones in charge of the club do, thankfully. However he does have his weaknesses. He isn’t the most technically gifted, and needs to to be in that strikers’ groove to be useful. He isn’t like Benz who can produce a goal out of thin air. I think we can live with that. But it is clear that he has run out of patience with playing for a set of fans that are eager to point fingers at him at the first possible chance. It is clear even Pipita, the one who never gives up, has given up on a fanbase where he doesn’t feel loved and its hard not to understand. It might be good for him to have a change of environment. Would I love it if Ancelotti convinced him to stay? Yes I would, but not against his will. Also, if he goes out it does pave way for Mini Mori aka Morata to speed up his development. I’m torn, there’s just so much emotion when it comes to analysing something about Pipita. Arrivederci
