Good Afternoon All!!!!! Just wanted to post a quick update on Epic E and her progress thus far!!!! She is doing amazing here at home and is loving having everyone together!!! She is also particularly in love with Rufus and has even figured out how to cluck her tongue to get his attention!!!! Super cute!! :) We have discovered that we can NOT give her her feed in her exersaucer as she vomits a lot of it back up in there :( Definitely not fun!! But it has led to her having her first AND second bath in months!!! She hated the first bath but she enjoyed todays bath much more!! We wrap up her picc line with saran wrap to protect it and try to keep it out of the water as much as possible :) We wanted to say a great big thanks to Norma Leitch Winters for supper on Friday and for a wonderful visit!!! It is so great to finally get to meet the wonderful people who have been supporting us along this wild journey!!!! An enormous thank you to Carolyn Wayne for coming to the house yesterday to help with the purging!!!! Amazing how much more effective it is when Im not trying to figure out what to keep by myself :) We also got to head over to their place to see Mat, Essa and Emil!!! So wonderful to see those little beauties and get the kids together again!!!!! :D We are also heading down to TaraLynn Chenier and Neil Cheniers today to see some of our favourite boys!!!! It has been more than SIX months since weve seen them so we are so excited!!!!! We also found out from our nurse that because the picc line care is for such a short period of time and because there is the mixing of solutions involved, her supervisor has requested that she continue to come to the house instead of teaching us. We are okay with that, seeing as it is only a couple of weeks!! There is the potential for the teaching of the reinsertion of the ng tube though in case it were to fall out, that way we wouldnt need to go to CHEO to have it reinserted!!
