Good Afternoon family, friends and fans. Thank you ALL! first for your friendships and support you have given me the last few years with my music. I just received some exciting news today that I have been patiently waiting for, for the last 8 months. My CD titled Tyra and the 218 Band is in the voting stage to possibly be nominated for the 15th Annual Native American Music Awards, that will be held in New York. As a young navajo girl from a small town of Teec Nos Pos, AZ, my love for music was nurtured by attending church revivals with my late Shima and singing along to classic country music such as Loretta Lynn, Barbara Mandrell, Waylon Jennings and many more. My friend and music producer Frank Smith encouraged me to cut my 1rst CD as a demo in April of 2012. Now 2 years later, here I am completely tickled with the fact that I might be heading to New York as a possible nominee for the 2015 Native American Music Awards. I will announce when the nominations are made. This is where I will need all of your help, my family, friends and fans, with voting.
