Good Cause Auction! (This auction has been blessed by Rob Baptie, and the idea and most of the info below was stolen from epic HATEr Jon Gefaell...) Dave Ratynski is a member of this group as well as the USN (aikidorat). He has something to share with us... --- In Daves words --- An employee and friend of mine is going through a very rough time - the most recent of which involved the loss of his unborn baby boy on New Years Eve. There was a complication shortly before birth and the mother required emergency surgery to save her life, but it was too late to save the baby boy, Ryu. Because it was on New Years Eve and the surgeries occurred over a couple of days, they built up a large medical bill due to the deductibles they have to pay for both 2014 and 2015. Sadly, his wife lost her job before Thanksgiving, and combined with unexpected car repair expenses their savings is tapped out. They have created a give forward site to help pay off some of their medical bills. We would like to help them with this while at the same time recognizing the beauty of their childs time here and the impact he left. --- --- In the words of the father, Devon --- Ryu Ethan Chellevold - Budded on Earth to Bloom in Heaven The distance between joy and sorrow can be measured by a heartbeat. The exciting moments of pregnancy have turned to sadness and heartfelt loss with the death of our baby boy, Ryu Ethan Chellevold, on December 31st 2014. He was delivered full term and weighed 8lb 13 oz. This is my entire collection of HATE patches, and HATE-related patches (from another epic HATEr, Ian Levy). Proceeds from this auction will go directly to the Chellevolds to help pay for medical expenses. As the father of two boys, the youngest of which is less than 4 months old, this hit hard and close to home. Its every parents worst-case scenario...absolutely heartbreaking.
