Good Day Friends on Youth.... We just enjoyed a fantastic Youth Month closure in Lusaka Community Hall. Wow. The Youth of Ward 39 is sure talented. We had groups from KTC, Hlazo Village, Lusaka, Ward 40 and Ward 37. From here, we will not stop. Nothing will deter us. Hlazo Village is the next area to host this Festival. Youth you are indeed the future. Today, I witnessed girls and boys telling their stories through art. From where I’m seated, I can see the light and the future of this Youth is bright. These boys and girls you pass on the street wearing broken shoes and clothes are something else. Talent is galore! It was very sad though to see that the parents of these kids were not present to support their children. How is your kid going to be confident and feel loved when you are not there when he or she needs you the most? All these parents were informed by their kids and group leaders. But No! However, from here the page has been written and we are moving in despite these short comings. This is a start but I can tell you it’s on a high note. I am proud of these Youth.
