Good Evening Cedar Lane Family, Tomorrow our Spirit Day is - TopicsExpress

Good Evening Cedar Lane Family, Tomorrow our Spirit Day is “Twins Day” but with a recent request from some of our neighboring schools and in an effort to support an incredibly worthy cause, I am going to ask that we “spice-up” our spirit day a bit, and ask our twins, and those who will dress up to be twins tomorrow, to wear a “cap” also as we support the Brad Kaminsky Foundation and The Arms Wide Open Childhood Cancer Foundation. The theme will be “Put a Cap on Cancer”. I plan on making an announcement to our student body today that asks each student to bring in “some loose change” and I plan on giving the example that if each member of our student body contributes dime, we would collect nearly $75. I do want to request that no one feel as if they need to contribute more than a quarter, as I would love for this to be a lesson on how a group committed to supporting a cause, if they work together and each contribute a small amount, it can in turn end up equaling a sizable amount. I will personally match our school-wide contribution up to $100. This loose change will be collected in the morning tomorrow as our scholar’s enter the main doors. I know almost no families have been spared the awful consequences of cancer and its impact loved ones. Childhood cancer is particularly so hard to deal with, as our young people deserve to feel good each day and be able to enjoy the friendships and love that our family and school community provide. Thank you as always for your continued support.
