Good Evening Everybody, I received some great news yesterday about the diaphragmatic pacemaker surgery. We currently have a tentative date for January 28 to have this surgery done. The surgery will be done in Toronto and after that I will return back to Kingston to complete my rehabilitation and to be weaned off the ventilator at Kingston General Hospital. The results that I will receive will be dependent on how well my diaphragm response to the pacer. I will be continuing my schooling as well with only four more semesters, a total of 10 credits to go until graduation in the spring of 2016. Hopefully when graduation comes around I will be ventilator free for as much time during the day as possible if not all of it. As many of you know or may not know, I make the most out of my life, trying to create the most opportunities possible for me to live a fulfilling life that challenges me on a day-to-day basis.
