Good Evening Facebook Friends……… It’s been a busy afternoon so we are just now getting to post Friday’s highlights. It seems the nice weather over the past few days have equated to busy days for your Collegedale Police Department. First Shift officers assisted with school traffic on Ooltewah Ringgold Road. An officer gave a citizen advice on filing a report for a crime that occurred in Chattanooga. Officers took a property damage report for a vehicle that was damaged in a local business parking lot. First shift also handled a theft from a boat on the west side of the city. Police were able to return a lost debit card to a citizen before the citizen even knew it was missing. Second shift officers issued a misdemeanor citation to person for driving on a suspended driver’s license. Campus safety requested help with traffic control during Vespers. The team transported a party from the Bradley County Jail to Collegedale so he could post a bond for theft charges in Collegedale. Officers wound down the evening by checking on suspicious activity at a Main Street business and responding to a hold-up alarm right at shift change with third shift. Third shift started with a bang and didn’t slow down. As was mentioned above, both second and third shift officers answered a hold-up alarm at one of our businesses. The cleaning crew accidentally activated the alarm. The third shift crew checked on a suspicious party at the Wal-Mart. Officer assisted EMS with three separate EMS calls overnight. During neighborhood patrols our officers also found several unsecured and open garage doors. Have a good night and Stay Safe..!!! Officer D. Myrick
