Good Friday - a day of grief beyond compare. My heart wonders how Mary (the mother of Jesus) could bear to stand at the foot of that cross and watch her oldest and beloved son die. How does a mother cope with that much pain? And yet, without His death, there would be no hope of redemption. Sorrow is a terrible thing, grief is debilitating, but if we truly believe that He died for our sins, we must find hope even in the midst of our greatest sorrows, in the midst of the darkest night. He IS our hope. For all those grieving the losses in their lives today, I encourage you, look up, your redemption draws nigh. It may not be today, nor even tomorrow, but Gods plan is true, and He said that He does have a plan for our lives. . . . . . standing on His Word today.
