Good Friday morning from drizzly, please-God-dont-let-us-go-icy North Texas! :D I love me some Fridays and I love the rain. So today is setting up to be a great day already. Yesterday I set up a post to begin our 365 Days of Giving Spirit and the post went away. So I will begin again. I want us to have the Christmas spirit all year, that extra giving characteristic that seems to perpetuate all of December. If we had that giving spirit all year, what amazing changes we could make! I am not asking you to empty your bank account. I just want you to give of your heart and your time. This is Day 2 of 365. What kindness did you pay yesterday? What can you do today? I texted some people I havent talked to in a while yesterday. That may not seem like you are paying a kindness, but when you really appreciate people and they live miles away, its so important to let them know you are thinking of them. Is there someone today you could call, text, email or write to? Today I plan on setting up a fund to assist a woman battling cancer with housekeeping. I have a cleaning and organizing service and she is a text pen pal of mine. I have never met her, but hope to soon. I can not get to her home myself, so I am going to try and get donations so another housekeeper in my group can take care of her apartment weekly. That may be what I work on throughout the weekend, but I am determined. How will you make your life, or the lives of others, better today? Remember there is no shame in paying a kindness to yourself.
