Good Friday to one and all. Our long holiday weekend that is Labor - TopicsExpress

Good Friday to one and all. Our long holiday weekend that is Labor Day is kicking off in steamy fashion. The steam will stick around and bring an unwanted guest to the weekend party… storms. The boomers will be on the increase over the next few days and that will cause some issues with those outdoor cookouts. The good news is what comes in behind the storms. More on that in a bit.Let’s get into what’s going on out there today. We will see temps back in the mid and upper 80s for central and eastern Kentucky. High humidity levels will make it feel like it’s a few degrees warmer. Western parts of the state will see temps in the low 90s. Isolated storms will be on the move and you can track those on regional radar…The threat for showers and storms will really increase over the next few days…Any storm that goes up will have the potential to be a bit on the strong side and put down heavy rainfall. The GFS continues to show weekend rain totals of more than an inch for some…The cold front will finally clear the area by Monday night and that will bring a taste of the good stuff into town…Yep… I’m more than ready for that.Make it a great Friday and take care.
