Good Monday Morning! Hope everyone had a great weekend! It has been brought to my attention that some people are upset about Basset Rescue of Kentuckiana pulling the Floyd County, Kentucky abuse case. Severe abuse and neglect cases have always been top priority no matter how many Bassets we have awaiting adoption. Especially when it is in our state. We will not engage in a debate over our policy. Nor will we engage in inflammatory comments toward other rescues, or defend our position in which dogs we pull or do not pull. I find it unprofessional, and quite frankly, very, very sad. We are all on the same side and should work together. Not doing so only makes innocent, defenseless animals suffer. We are the voice for those that have none.
