Good Monday morning… and I love the enthusiasm of the American - TopicsExpress

Good Monday morning… and I love the enthusiasm of the American Authors’ song, Best Day of My Life. The punch line of the song is, “This is going to be the best day of my li-i-ife, the best day of my li-i-i-i-i-ife.” It’s upbeat tune and positive message are born out of a 4 person boy band who lived and worked together in Brooklyn in a small apartment, where they wrote and played songs. This song has been used in movies, commercials and is probably the closer at their concerts now. It is part of the “rags to riches” story of the music group and is on an album called “Oh, What a Life”, a collection of songs reflecting on the hard times… low paying part-time jobs, Raman noodles and no extra money for anything, according to lead guitarist James Adam Shelley. Inspiration is my intention every Monday morning. I was inspired to look into the song that I heard coming from Lisa’s Facebook time. I learned that the inspiration for the song came from the book, “Where the Wild Things Are” a dream world escape from the dreary reality of life. This song, like most of the American Authors’ songs, is written in collaboration with one another. When I read through the interview and saw some of the social media posts by Mr. Shelley, they have been touring in Europe and are going to Australia and New Zealand to perform. These four young men and their team are inspiring audiences around the world! So what can I offer you in the way of encouragement from a popular song that got my juices flowing this morning? How about attitude? Take a break from the gloom and despair of how awful things are in many parts of the world and thank God for the One Who makes every day the best day of our lives… our li-i-i-i-ives! Being a child of God is not fiction or fantasy, but being a chosen member of God’s family who is here to make a positive difference in people’s lives. By obediently loving others, we are able to spread the good news of God’s love and the hope we have for eternal life. Please live today with attitude! Put a little pep in your step by believing that God loves you and can use you to make a positive difference in people’s lives. It just may be that today is the best day of your life… For His glory, Pastor Mike
