Currently it is 51 degrees and mostly cloudy in Sparks with a dewpoint of 50 degrees. Clouds will increase across the day and there is a very slight chance of rain this evening. The high for today (and possibly for the week) will be 74 degrees. On a scale of 1 to 12, todays allergy level is 4.3 (low-medium). Sunset will be at 7:16 PM. Today in history - 1776 - British forces occupied New York City during the American Revolution. 1935 - The Nuremburg Laws deprived German Jews of their citizenship. 1950 - During the Korean Conflict, U.N. forces landed at Incheon in the south and began their drive toward Seoul. 1963 - Four black girls were killed when a bomb went off during Sunday services at the 16th Street Baptist Church In Birmingham, Alabama. Three Klu Klux Klansmen were eventually convicted for there roles in the blast. 2013 - Hundresd of people, black and white, filled the 16th Street Baptist Chuch to mark the anniversary of the bombing that killed the four little girls mentioned above.
