Good Monday morning to you everyone. There is no well organized - TopicsExpress

Good Monday morning to you everyone. There is no well organized risk of severe weather at this moment but that will likely change in the later outlooks. With that said, lets have a look at the severe weather threats for today August 25, 2014. Isolated strong to severe storms are expectd today from Colorado Northeastward into Wisconsin and Lower Michigan which could produce isolated to scattered damaging winds and large hail. Over portions of Colorado there is even a slight chance for an isolated tornado as well. Strong to severe storms are also a possibility over Louisiana and Mississippi which may produce damaging wind gusts. As I mentioned above, we could see an upgrade to a slight risk through parts of the Central High Plains and Central Plains by this afternoon. This would include portions of Northeast Colorado, Northwest Kansas and Nebraska but only if storm coverage and duration increase more than expected. Either way, if you live in the risk areas then you should stay very weather alert and be prepared for the possibility of severe weather. Make sure you have a way to receive weather alerts. Go to spc.noaa.gov for the latest outlook info about todays severe weather as well as current advisories, watches and warnings. I wish everyone a blessed and wonderful week! ~Pete
