Good Monday yall. Im absolutely exhausted. Today we finished up the second Waylon Gruene Malone Throwdown Musical Benefit and Fundraiser, or Waylon 2. It was a tremendous success. We raised MANY dollars to help the Malones. First I want to thank EVERYONE who came out and volunteered their time in the heat. I know Ill forget some, so please do not be butthurt. Mgmt and staff at River Road Ice House: Bess Kidd, Brooke Bumgardner, Dane Bumgardner, Nick Sisoian, and the rest of the awesome gang at The Ice House. Nick, I love you. You are a saint. McCollum 76ers Jeri Grothues and Donna Skeen you guys rock! Love ya both! Thanks for representing! Michelle Maler and friends, the silent auction was a success because of the HARD work you did. (Your job was the toughest. You rocked it girl) Pitmaster Manuel Garcia (your job was absolutely the hottest!) for providing the sausage, cooking the brisket and sausage, and providing all of the things needed to finish the task. Tony Kirby, Roy Frazier, and Lindsey Frazier for donating the briskets. My brother, Robert Roe, for helping serve food. Joel Reed and Robert Roe for delivering and setting up the moonbounce. Emma Lou Kidd for helping deflate it. And Adam Radford for helping me take the moonbounce back to its owners, Misty and John. Mr. Kona Ice for donating 100% of his sales to the Malones. And ALL of the good ppl who came out and spent their hard earned money in order to help Waylon Gruene Malone and his family. We love you. This benefit is a labor of love for me. I love doing it.
