Good Morning Back to Basics- Horse Health and Nutrition fans! I would like to take this opportunity to ask you to skip your Starbucks coffee for one day and consider donating that $5 to Virgin Islands Horse Rescue & Retirement. I am in the process of evaluating all the horses diets and there will be some good changes made to better quality feeds and immune boosting herbs. Of course, better quality feed = more expensive but these guys are so worth it! I am currently working with Lynn Utech on finding a new feed store stateside (South Florida) for her to use. Feed and hay will be loaded into a container which then will be taken to the port of Miami and shipped to St. Thomas. As you can imagine.....this is not cheap!
