Good Morning! Before voting today, please educate yourself. I have been a teacher for 18 years, I am against amendment 3. Vote the way you want, Im just asking you to educate yourself. This amendment will take great teachers out of school districts that truly need them. If they are going to base a teachers pay on the tests that are given to the students, then teachers will go to school districts that have higher parent participation. Im trying very hard to be politically correct, I know you can read between the lines. I am all for teacher accountability, however, this amendment is lacking some serious skills to make that happen, as is common core. Not to mention the money it will cost for the students to be tested. The original group who helped develop this, arent even standing behind it! Please educate yourself!!! Teaching is hard enough and getting harder, the teachers that are staying in the field is because they love the opportunity to help kids, its not the money! If this passes things will look very different, and more families will be looking into private schools!
