Good Morning Care Foundation family. Long night at the ER with my friend. Of course they screwed everything up, so we had to deal with all of that. Its very important you make sure the doctor is on the same page as you before he leaves the exam room. This applies to private practice and emergency rooms. Doctors are not taking enough time with their patients, and mistakes can be made this way, even life threatening mistakes. I always stop them and make them explain what is wrong, and what they are prescribing. Last night the hospital listed 2 medications on the discharge summary that were supposed to have been printed but were not. Instead they gave my friend something totally different. They had a huge lapse in protocol, and could have caused serious complications because of it. Doctors are in just too big of a hurry! Somehow weve got to get them to slow down. The ones who graduated before 1990 from medical school are the worst ones. The ones who graduated after 1990 are better because the medical schools started emphasizing bed side manner more in the curriculum. The sad part is they were not busy, so there is no excuse for what happened. smh I hope all of yall have a blessed Sunday. This ole boy is tired and am gonna rest this morning.
