Good Morning Children of the King! Up - TopicsExpress

Good Morning Children of the King! Up early this fine day to get this message out to you. Got wrapped up in some serious house work and school work last week and time got away from me. But praise God- I am better known for my better late than nevers! Be patient with me, please :) UPDATE: Just 6 hours ago, GNC updated their FB page and informed us that Pastor Kamlesh was transported to Delhi for treatment and is recovering well!!! Continue to pray for him and the rest of the church who were involved in that attack. HOW INSANE ARE YOU!? We often find ourselves doing things over and over and over again, failing time after time.... And KEEP DOING THEM! Thats insane! In the natural world, diets seem to be a big one! We all have most likely had our fair share of diet flips flops! This one worked for a while, then you gave up. Lets try it again... same story... Then, lets give it another shot because the plan is New and Improved- Better than Ever! Same results... But we continue to do it over and over and over.... thats insanity! In the spiritual world, we all have probably tried a bible reading plan- reading the bible in its entirety in 1 year. How well did that work for you? Did you make it? Was you on a steady pace and came to a book that was hard to follow and you eventually fell off track and just quit all together? Then, the next year, your New Years Resolution was to try that 1 year bible plan again? See a pattern here... sound a little insane to you!? Pastor suggested making up our own diet plans and our own bible reading plans! Something that is going to work... FOR US! Find a sane way that works for yourselves! With your diet, cut out a few things that you absolutely know are problematic (condiments, dips, extra whipped cream on your pie.... you see where this is going, right!) Then, after a while, move onto another thing that is a problem ( maybe beings you had cookies between breakfast and lunch as a snack, try having a piece of fruit between dinner and supper)... One things at a time! When we try to totally flip our world upside down for this new me, it tends to fail every time! Try taking it at a slower pace and do things that are realistic! Now for your bible reading, find topics that relate to YOU! Start there! If you struggle with anger, substance abuse, depression, anxiety... look up those places in the bible and start there, a place that will benefit you. Read it, study it- as much as you can until the Lord convicts you enough that you make that change! Once you have accomplished one area of your life, move on to another area! ISAIAH 43:19 (AMP) Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. You cannot continue to do the same thing and expect a different outcome! Do something that does not bog you down. The same thing applies to your spiritual life and worship, that applies to your physical life. If you have tried doing the same thing over and over again and you are not growing in the Lord, you need to change what you are doing! Our Vision Statement at New Hope Chapel is GO, GLOW and GROW! We canNOT be insane this new year! We HAVE to change our methods! 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. He said ALL and He means ALL! We need to get into truth this year and dig deep, see what the Lord wants us to change! If we expect to have change, we need to start to make the change ourselves! We need to be willing and acceptable to these changes that God is going to place in our hearts! Change is not always an easy thing, I can personally vouch for that! Many of us can! My BEST advice to you is, GO WITH IT! God is going to place something on your heart and you may not like it- too bad! Go with it! You are not going to get anywhere if you dont! You may be holding a grudge and the Lord wants you to let it go- but you feel you have a real valid reason to hang onto it.. LET IT GO! EPHESIANS 4:26-27 (AMP) 31-32 26 When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down. 27 Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him]. 31 Let all bitterness and indignation and wrath (passion, rage, bad temper) and resentment (anger, animosity) and quarreling (brawling, clamor, contention) and slander (evil-speaking, abusive or blasphemous language) be banished from you, with all malice (spite, ill will, or baseness of any kind). 32 And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you. MATTHEW 6:14-15 (AMP) 14 For if you forgive people their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins, leaving them, letting them go, and giving up resentment], neither will your Father forgive you your trespasses. JAMES 1:19-20 (AMP) 19 Understand [this], my beloved brethren. Let every man be quick to hear [a ready listener], slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. 20 For man’s anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires]. Painful enough for ya!? :-) Thats just a few.... Yep- God expects you to let it go, have compassion.. dont be quicker to fly off at the mouth than you are to listen! Boy, I can give personal testimony as to how hard that one was to change! If we expect our Father to have mercies on us, forgiveness towards us- we must do the same for the ones who have offended us! A word of advice is to start praying up before you even start this! The enemy is going to be on you like white on rice! He doesnt want you to change, he doesnt want you to forgive... he will tempt you... stay prayed up! Call on your Brothers and Sisters if you feel discouraged.. that is exactly what we are here for, to help uplift and encourage one another!
