On this day in Hip Hop History This Day In Hip Hop and Rap History Craig Mack released his debut album, “Project: Funk Da World”, on Bad Boy Records, 20 years ago, in 1994. “Project: Funk Da World”, which was Bad Boy’s second release after The Notorious B.I.G.’s debut set “Ready To Die”, released the same year, was produced by Easy Mo Bee, Rashad Smith, Lenny “Ace” Marrow as well as Craig Mack. The Long Island, New York born rapper’s debut release went gold just on the strength of twp monster smash hits alone, the gold selling “Get Down” and the platinum selling anthem “Flava In Ya Ear”.
