Good Morning, Dear Friends. Last Wednesday was Day 2 of our Washington, D.C. Adventure. We got up at 6 and had a wonderful breakfast. Headed out. First stop was the Lincoln Memorial and all the steps getting up to him. He is absolutely stunning. This was another place that I cried. My better pictures are on my big camera. So, until I get my pictures developed, I am sending you pictures I took in my iPhone. After that we left for the reflection pool and the WWII Memorial. Then, to the Washington Monument. Big Dude! Then we went to the Holocaust Museum. Could not take pictures in there. Wow, what a very moving place. Seeing the shoes and the hair was so moving. Saw the train car, the ovens, the gas chambers. A funny thing happened here. We were over by the gas chamber and my phone started going off like a siren. Others started going off as well. I fetched it out of my purse and it was a tornado warning. The Museum has a glass ceiling. Ok, we just went on looking around. About 15 minutes later, guards came and gathered us all up from 4 floors and guided us to an auditorium in the basement. Then we went to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. I got to see the Hope Diamond and other beautiful jewelry. Going to stop here. This got us up to 2:00 on Wednesday. Love you all. Bye!!!!!
