Good Morning Everyone... A BIG shout out for those already out fishing.. I had several customers stopped in yesterday evening, prepairing to be on the water early this morning. Had one customer mention catching sandbass from the bank, in his Secret spot, on Fort Gibson Lake. He was using a roostertails or a silver spoon. Light tackle is all he said he was using. Ive heard several anglers talking about catching sandbass on the East side of Western Hills Lodge. Close to where Paridise Cove Marina used to set. That would be North of the fishing dock. Again, silver spoons or roostertails seem to be a good choice of lures. This cooler weather would be a great time to get out and do some Pre-Fall fishing. Tom was fishing at the Dam and stopped by saying they tore up the sandbass at the Dam. Yesterday was a good day for many anglers catching sandbass, stripers or catfish, on the Wall, below Fort Gibson Dam. Most anglers are tightlining with bucktail jigs. It has been hard keeping enough jigs stocked. Our jigs are wrapped by one of the best in Oklahoma. NO cheap O Made in China Bucktails sold here. Even the Deer tails, used to make the jigs, are born and raised in the U.S.A. Come and GET YA SOME. Whats your favorite color? Some have been catching smaller sandbass from the bank, using a white curly tail grub. Light tackle rigged with a roostertail, grubs, or spoons are the ticket. The secret word will be ticket... Everyone have a great Wednesday. Enjoy this weather. We still have August to get through. I will post breaking news and information. Thanks, all....
