Good Morning Everyone: Or is it really a good morning? When will it stop and where are we headed based on recent developments. I think sooner or later their needs to be a change in leadership for various cities across America to survive. I just saw a recent video of three police officers holding down a teen ager after he supposedly had committed an assault crim. They seemed to have it all under control and than at the blink of an eye another officer runs over and starts pounding the young man despite him being held down. After all the recent developments some of the same behavior continues it seems. Now I for one do not want the police departments across America to stop doing their job. Nor do I want to change the tactics of those doing their job correctly. But enough is enough when it comes to just doing what they want. Whether its unnecessarily beating on a kid who just might be guilty of a crime, or parking in a disrespectful way in our communities not caring who they block or inconvenience. Its all wrong and in need of addressing. In NYC we have seen it all. I tend to wonder if this police bully assaulting civilian activity has gone on for 100 years and we are just paying serious attention. Yes, I would bet on it because years ago with a 98 percent non Black force it was do what you want because no one will talk or do anything to you when you do, Now in the year 2014 its a different story. So again I ask what has to be done. At the same time I again say for the first time ever I see why they always say that it starts above and that means the Police Commissioner needs to take some responsibility as does the Mayor who despite his good guy image needs to put on a black hat and start firing folks, maybe including his current commissioner. Scary times but it seems this entire thing is close to turning into the old wild-wild west because people are getting more and more angry. I fear for all the good people who are scared out of their wits by flashing police cars and a police presence and I am scared for the many many great police officers doing their jobs correctly. Not sure about you but at one time a police officer sighting was not a cause for alarm or panic! Happy Weekend Everyone!
