Good Morning FB Friends. The weatherman got this forecast right....its really cool this morning. I took my coffee to the porch, but it was too cool and damp to sit out. But, Im thinking later will be a good time for changing porch decor. Red, white, and blue needs to pack up and make way for fall. Ill be tired, but relieved when its changed. Todays devotion in JESUS CALLING, says God wants us to come to Him for rest. Then, my toes get stepped on.....In Matthew 7:1, Do not judge others and you will not be judged. Oh, I know, at first glance were all, I dont judge. Well, lets be honest....We form judgements about everything - situations, people, ourselves, the government, other drivers, even the weather - as if thats our main function. We need to give ourselves a break. God created us first to know Him and to worship Him. Judging is His role. God wants us to relate to Him as our creator. He is the shepherd, we are the sheep. He is the King, we are the subjects. He is the potter, we are the clay. Allow God to work in our lives without evaluating His ways. In Romans 9:20-21, Paul explains we should not question God. After a potter makes a pot , he has the right to decide how the vessel is used. God has given us a rather unique role. We have the opportunity to walk with the Lord, but not as equals, but as a worshipper of the King of kings. Relax....we dont have the role of judge. Lets give our minds a break. I know I can use one.
