Good Morning FB Friends and Family! In Luke 21 we read about a widow who gives all she has in the temple. Jesus was watching people give their leftovers from their wealth as offerings to the Lord when this older widow woman walks up and gives all she has. Verse 4 says, All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on. As believers how much do we give God? Do you give our tithe? Do you go above your tithe? Or do you give what is leftover? The bottom line is simple: It takes money to move ministry and spread the Word of the Lord to all nations and generations! God expects us to be generous! So if you are still reading this Thanks, there is a blessing coming to you; not for having read this; but because of your obedience to the Lord in the area of giving and for having an open heart to Gods Word. Giving doesnt always mean money. God expects us to be generous people! With our time, our talents, all our gifts. After all, doesnt He provide you with them all anyway. When we look at giving of ourselves, we are blessed in return; and not necessarily in a tangible measurable way. To go out of your way to help a person in need; to serve in the nursery twice a month (yes, this one is aimed at myself); to clean the church; to help the community with a project; to visit the elderly; to give someone a ride to church; to give someone a ride anywhere; to be that person that can be called in the middle of the night for a anything without judgment and condemnation --- that is who we are called to be as Christians, it is not a religion --- it is a relationship with God --- truly understanding the grace that has been bestowed upon you, that you do not and did not deserve, but the FREE gift that came from the Lord and then FULLY extending that same grace to others! God wants to bless You! Be open and allow the Holy Spirit to do a great work in You. Remember to bless others, especially as we come into this holiday season. Serving the Lord and caring for His people doesnt always mean giving up your money; while that is definitely helpful there are so many more ways to give to others! Be a blessing! Remember that there are many who are lonely and need the love of Jesus during the holiday season. Let us do our part and love people and give to those to who need our help! Father, fill me with the spirit of generosity; to go above and beyond in this area to be a blessing to those who need You and for those who are just in need! Father, help us to meet the needs lovingly, without judgment, and show Your love. Let our hearts be in sync with Yours, our desires be in sync with Yours Lord. I love you! Amen. Have a blessed day!
