Good Morning FB Friends and Family! This morning we are in Mark - TopicsExpress

Good Morning FB Friends and Family! This morning we are in Mark 10. There is so much good stuff in here, I do not have enough space to talk about it all; but there are a couple of verses I want to share. Verses 43-45, "Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." Here outlines the motives behind His ministry and the basis for our salvation. A ransom was the price paid to release a slave. His blood, His chosen sacrifice paid the cost of your sin. He took your place. Jesus paid it because we could not pay it ourselves. His death released all of us from slavery and sin. Jesus told James and John that true greatness comes from serving others. Rather than seeking to have your needs met, why not minister to the needs of others. That seems so backwards of this worlds values, well because it is. Servanthood: We long to emulate Christ, to make ourselves available to those around us and to witness transformation in their lives as they come to know the saving power of Jesus. We are not intimated to love and to serve those whom the world has forgotten, and unlike the world, we seek no accolades or material rewards when we do so. Love like Jesus! Have a blessed day!
