Good Morning FB friends. ..it is Monday, Memorial Day and my birthday. A special day because we honor our Veterans but not because it is my birthday, I am just another year older but maybe a year wiser. I do believe that our life experiences make us wiser and the longer we live the more experience we gain if at least we are willing to learn from our mistakes and experiences in life. For example yesterday three of us got on my waverunner and the weight was not proportioned correctly and it flipped over near the shore line and we fell in the cold water. We all had life jackets on and the water was cold and luckily we were near the shore. No one was hurt but it is a life lesson I learned. I thought it was safe with the three of us on it and they trusted me to take them out on the water. I learned a valuable lesson and will not repeat it again. I had a nice evening yesterday. We cooked out and friends brought me a special strawberry chocolate pie from Perkins restaurant and we visited and shot pool til late. Today is a big day at the Honi. Queen City Funk and Soul plays. The band is from Cumberland and it is a big band and they are very good. I hired them once to play in Moorefield for July 4th. It has been a nice long weekend but there is no place like home and I look forward to coming back to Moorefield later today.
