Good Morning Faith Book Family! Earlier this week a couple in my church took my wife and I golfing and out to lunch. Boy do I Stink at Golf! Still yet, I have three brief golf lessons for you that you can also apply to your own Faith Journey. One, you have to keep your feet still if you want to hit that little white ball! Me, I have Happy Feet which makes it very difficult in hitting the little white ball! In a similar way, our Feet need to be Firmly planted in Gods Word which is to be the Foundation for our spiritual lives! We are not too spend so much time in other self improvement books, nor are we to take the advice of TV Talk Show Hosts! Gods Word is enough! Second, you have to keep your head down if you want to hit that little white ball! When my club is supposed to be hitting the ball my face is looking towards heaven! Not Good, once again if your plan is to hit the little white ball! Similarly, in our faith journeys, we need to keep our Heads Down in Prayer more to our Lord Jesus! Scripture tells us to Pray without Ceasing to always be In an Attitude of Prayer, yet once again we let way too many things distract us from spending the time in Prayer that each one of us needs! Lastly, If you want to hit that little white ball, you need to keep your eyes focused on it! You cannot hit what you cannot see! Once again, we need to keep our eyes focused clearly of Jesus Christ, who is the Author and Perfector of our Faith! When our Eyes stray, our focus lost, that is when we get into trouble! Hopefully today I have helped you all out with your Golf Game, but more importantly I hope that this game has taught you a few lessons about Faith as well! Love You All! Pastor Rick
