Good Morning, Family. Its Turn Down For What?! Tuesday Part 18 Daniel 1:1-4 1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came to Jerusalem and besieged it. 2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, along with a part of the vessels of the house of God; and he carried them into the land of Shinar [Babylonia] to the house of his god and placed the vessels in the treasury of his god. 3 And the [Babylonian] king told Ashpenaz, the master of his eunuchs, to bring in some of the children of Israel, both of the royal family and of the nobility— 4 Youths without blemish, well-favored in appearance and skillful in all wisdom, discernment, and understanding, apt in learning knowledge, competent to stand and serve in the king’s palace—and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans. When the enemy comes in to seize a territory, he often attempts to capture articles and vessels of God. He will often carry them to his realm, territory, or region in order to place them in his treasury. He seems to think that doing so, makes him equal to God. He also thinks this gives him an advantage or leverage over The Lord. My point is that the enemy sees the value in us, and he wants us in his treasury and as his trophies. He recognizes that we are royalty. He also realizes that we are a weapon against him and, he would rather have us on his side, in his treasury; than on The Lords side as a threat to him. Once the enemy has us captured, he begins to change our culture. He wants us to learn his language. Thats because hes after our influence. If he can change or corrupt our thinking, he can then, use us to corrupt communities and culture. Its Turn Down For What?! Tuesday, Family. Lets refuse to learn the enemys language.
