Good Morning Fans ... Happy Friday! We share this status from Forestscapes of Minocqua in hopes you all can take time to become a little more informed on what is happening at Torpy Park in Minocqua - the grounds that neighbor the east side of Minocqua Brewing Company. We admit, as a business we try to stay as down-the-middle as possible, understanding there are two sides to every issue. This one, however, is one we feel strongly about. While the Minocqua Lions Club continues to be a pillar of this small community, doing many great things for many great causes, the decision by their club president to cut down some of the last standing pines on the Island is something we feel, shouldnt be done (the Minocqua Lions had agreed to donating a sum of money toward the construction). We agree that uses for Torpy Park need to continue to grow, however, is taking down these beautiful, lakeside trees to build a pole shed for a special event the best decision for the Island City? What are your thoughts? Is it better to keep the history and beauty of Torpy Park, or build something to make hosting events more convenient? Stay Thirsty ...
