Good Morning! Friday I started feeling a burning sensation in my - TopicsExpress

Good Morning! Friday I started feeling a burning sensation in my chest. It appeared to be heartburn. I took tums and it seemed to ease. However, everyday I noticed it was still there. At night when it was time to rest I had to sleep with the pillow elevated for comfort periodically. What went from a burning sensation progressed as I moved and took deep breaths. Well yesterday after a VERY intense finding in regards to the break I was running late getting to the boutique for 4pm. In route there were people calling to confirm picking up items and making purchases. Shortly after 5PM I was on the phone with a childhood friend of 26 years named Travis Mitchell Sr. and explained to him what I was feeling. He said, BLACK (childhood name) you need to go to the hospital. I didnt want to go but I drove myself there. They hooked me up to an EKG and confirmed that I WAS NOT having any heart trouble. I was pleased! But the Dr. spent at least 30min with me asking questions and he said its more than heartburn. He tested something in my blood and stated there is a blockage somewhere in your lungs and it could possibly be a blood clot and if it is, you will be admitted because you could very well die maam (STRAIGHT UP)! Well if I told you that I was this super saint and didnt act concerned I would be a LIAR. Tears begin to roll down my face and in my mind I said Lord let your perfect will be done. He said I have to give you a Cat-scan with dye to light up your chest so I can verify the clot. The first test they performed my lungs couldnt be seen. So Im waiting for the results and they come back saying the test didnt show your lungs and we have to do it again. I was like man the dye that they give you in the IV gives you a warm sensation all over your body. 😱 So after the test I was rolled back to my room awaiting the results. I started quoting scriptures and praying. I bet them people thought I was crazy. I wasnt loud but my mouth was speaking aloud. The Dr. comes back and says I have good and bad news for you. The good news is, you dont have a blood clot. The bad news is you have pneumonia and thats why your chest is burning with pain and shortness of breath. I cried and smiled while he was telling me how he was going to treat it. Now here is the blessed part. I thought about Easter Sunday and how we celebrated the resurrection of Christ. The Dr. said I could very well keep you but I PRAYED TO GOD that I WOULD NOT have to tell you that you had a blood clot because I know how serious that is. So Im sending you home for 3 days and requesting a follow-up chest scan to verify the antibiotics are working. My instructions are BED REST, LIQUIDS, VEGGIES, FRUIT and silence until the pain subsidies. He sent me home on a strong pain and antibiotic medication. Im thankful that he did everything to find out what was wrong. I have 3 people that will be assisting me with our social media updates via inbox for pick ups and orders. I thank you for your calls and texts. It hurts me to talk and my voice sounds like a tenor. Please allow me to follow the Drs orders. Im having to force myself to rest since Im so use to working. I will update later today information for client pick ups and updates. Robert Walker, Nikki Imgoodovahere & Colombiana McDaniel are assisting in my absence. Thank You!
