Good Morning Friends ! Last night I finished reading a book written by my friend, Robert Wolz , titled Grand Army Men. There is a picture in the book of six Civil War veterans still alive when I was a two year old boy. I wish I could have met these men. The earliest war vet that I recall is from the Spanish - American war. He was in his 90s and I was a first year student on rotation at a medical care facility. Since that time, I have had the honor of knowing and caring for men and women who served in WW I , WW II, Korean war, Vietnam war ( lost 6 friends ), and both Gulf wars. Recently I watched an advertisement on TV for a private Veteran agency, pleading for funds to help disabled soldiers; and I became both sad and angry. These men and women should be cared for with out question of cost, or source. We are a government of the people, and we the people must demand that these hurt soldiers receive care for life; they have paid a price already that we cannot fathom. Be Kind.......with love...rah
