Good Morning HartsSpace Healthy Challengers!! Great work making whole grains yesterday. Todays goal is NO NEWS today and it is worth 2 points. A NEWS FAST. The parameters are NO newspapers (although.. does anyone read those anymore?), no news channels / Newscast shows on TV, no RADIO news, no internet news/ news articles that you might frequently read. So TV and technology are OK, but youll need to channel surf around the news on TV. And consciously browse past news on the internet. Here is the basic idea behind this goal... it is GREAT to be well informed if you like to do so with news, however due to the combination of traumatic subject matter/ imagery in the news media and our lack of control over most events reported on in news an excessive amount of news exposure on a daily basis can be a form of added stress to our already busy lives. This added stress can over time take a toll on the body and mind. Todays goal is not intended to get you to quit watching the news altogether but to remind you that you have control over HOW MUCH news you expose yourself to. Feel free to post ideas of some healthy positive things to watch/read/listen to today :) As always please post whether or not you accomplished this goal by tomorrow morning at 7:00 AM to receive two points towards the prize :)
