Good Morning! Here are some general tips for those who are overweight and you seriously want to lose those pounds: *Make it IDIOT proof to mess up. That means NO crackers, NO bread, NO pasta, NO potatoes, No rice. Your carbs = vegetables. Yes vegetables. *Dont buy energy bars, breakfast bars, anything crunchy cereal. Go for oat bran or oat meal. It will be cheaper too. *Include protein in each meal. What are not good protein foods for weight loss? regular yogurt, milk, quinoa. What?? Quinoa? Yes, because for those struggling with weight it comes with too many add-on carbs just like rice. Rice too has protein. Would you think thats a good protein source to load up on? *Skip pasta. Buy shirataki noodles. *Dont drink milk. Drink water. *If your plate isnt filled with veggies its a bad meal. *If you wonder if youre eating too many veggies, youre not. *Dont buy dried fruit or granola or trail mix. *Eat chicken breast, not chicken wings. *Eat ground turkey BREAST, not ground turkey meat *Dont ever use oils to cover your veggies so you can eat them. You got to measure up these high calorie sources. *Dont buy peanut butter and jelly for the kids and then end up eating it yourself. *Forget about toast. Its unhealthy to make it a regular breakfast. *Remember ALL THINGS at whole foods market are not fat loss promoting. Quite the opposite. Natural and healthy doesnt equal fat loss. *make the meals more filling by including fiber from chia, flax, oat fiber and shirataki noodles. *Use mustard as a condiment but AVOID honey mustard and any of those sweet hot ones which have added sugars. Good dairy products: NON FAT PLAIN greek yogurt, fat free lifetime cheese, 1-2% fat cottage cheese, (beware those fat free ones because they add carbs to it to make up for it) *never add croutons, bacon bits or creamy dressing that comes with the salad boxes. You can just as well have a hamburger with cheese and bun instead. Those extras add up. *Beware of the fat free ice cream, fat free jell-o mix in chocolate, caramel etc. *ALWAYS evaluate what will this food do for me? If your answer is its just gooood then dont buy it. *A cookie a day can really set you off *Make it your goal to include 5 different sources of vegetables every day * Dont munch on nuts like its a free food that cant make you fat. No matter how healthy nuts can be in moderation, if you fail to use it in moderation theyre evil! *Buy 100% chocolate, 100% pure cacao powders (raw are best) and use these to satisfy your chocolate cravings.MODERATION required.
