Good Morning, I hope we all enjoyed our weekend? And most - TopicsExpress

Good Morning, I hope we all enjoyed our weekend? And most especially got some rest in preparation for the week. May The Lord guide us and protect us through this week. Amen Let us read and Meditate on Hebrew 1:1-6 Reflection after Reading: Jesus is lord and saviour, the son if God and our redeemer. God has spoken through the prophets at different times in ages past until the coming of Christ, whom He has spoken directly and definitively. Christ is the one appointed all things, since through him, He unfolded the stages of the world (v.2). Jesus is unique, God born of God. For believers of Jesus time, it was enough to contemplate nature to presume, beyond harmony and splendour of creation, the active presence of cosmic powers, beings they called angels: the distributors of divine riches. In the same degree that the Old Testament had battled against the gods of nature. God remained entirely distant and far above. If people refrained from pronouncing his name, it was an additional reason for seeing the action of heavenly spirits in constant proofs of divine providence in our favour. We see examples of this till this day in different parts of the world like Asia and Africa, where people still worship idols and gods of rain, sun, moon...etc. People believe in cosmic powers. Therefore, it is necessary to reaffirm that Jesus, who is not an angel but one of us, he surpasses them all. To what angel did God say: You are my son, I have begotten you today? And to what angel did He promise: I shall be a father to him and he will be a son to me? On sending his firstborn to the world, God says: let all the angels adore him(v.5-6) His name is higher than any other name, his name is Jesus, his name is lord. Jesus Christ is greater than any other supernatural power, he should never be compared. So many seek fast results, consult with other kinds of powers but instead of getting what they want, the also go along and sell their souls. Man must worship the one true God. Let us pray to be constantly alert and aware of Christ in our lives, so that in our quest for satisfaction, we never go searching for answers in the wrong places. In Jesus Name. Amen Please read and meditate on psalm 97. May God Bless you!
