Good Morning! I was looking at some photos from Glacier National Park last night, and I was reminded of the day when I thought I had stumbled upon a really unique scene of a lake with an island in the middle. I set up my tripod and metered the scene several times and tried different combinations of filters until I was pretty happy with my shot. I thought I had something really special....then I heard some voices behind me....I turned around to literally find a tour bus had unloaded and there mustve been 50 people behind me, taking basically the same exact shot! I decided right then to get something different from this scene, so I grabbed my gear and hiked to the waters edge, and then INTO the water to find a perspective I could call my own. I dont know why its so important to me to get MY shot of a place...but it sure makes life interesting at times...and as it turned out, I really like the second shot much better.
