Good Morning. In Matt. 17:20 Jesus reminds us that we only need to exercise a very, very small amount of faith for things of magnificent proportions to occur in our lives. He said, “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” My friend God always provide “the evidence of things not seen” so that we can exercise our faith in Him. What really is faith? The Strong’s Concordance defines the original Greek word for faith as “conviction of the truth of anything, belief; in the NT of a conviction or belief respecting mans relationship to God and divine things, generally with the included idea of trust and holy fervour born of faith and joined with it.” Based on this definition of the original word for faith, we cannot have faith in God if we have not spent time to develop a relationship with Him. It is through this relationship that we can develop the conviction to believe in the “substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.” God doesn’t expect us to trust Him without first getting to know Him. Believe and trust in God is the key to becoming confident in what the Lord says. I pray that we will continue to spend quality time getting to know God through the daily study of His words and through our prayer experience. I pray that we will continue to surrender every area of our lives to the total control of the Holy Spirit so that God can continue develop the faith of a mustard seed in our transformed lives.
